The youth ministry at Arden Presbyterian Church exists to come alongside parents to teach their children the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and equip them to know, love, and serve Him. We do this through faithfully teaching the Word of God, building relationships with students and their families, and by providing opportunities for them to grow in their relationship with Christ by serving in the church and in the world.
The youth ministry provides the following opportunities for students:
Sunday School (9:30am)
On Sunday mornings, middle and high school students gather together as a large group for a time of singing, then break into smaller groups for discussion-oriented Bible study and prayer. Beginning January 21st, we will be studying, The Gospel-Centered Life for Teens.
Youth Group (Wednesdays @ 6:15 pm)
On Wednesday evenings, we have youth group for middle and high school students. During the school year we meet until 7:30 pm and we extend the hours during the summer. Our ministry is open to all students.
In addition to our regularly scheduled events, we also plan other monthly times of fellowship such as board game nights, canoeing, hiking, biking trips, camp outs, gaga ball, movie nights, bowling, skiing, etc.
Retreats and Conferences
Annual Youth Retreats are held spring, summer, and fall and are open not only to the youth of Arden Presbyterian Church, but other youth who wish to attend as well. Please stay tuned as more information on events planned for 2018 will be available soon.
Mission Trips & Service Opportunities
Throughout the year we regularly schedule opportunities to serve our church and community. There are also opportunities to go on national and international mission trips with our church family. In the past, we have served with MTW Cherokee, Hope for the Inner City in Chattanooga, TN, and an international summer trip in Peru.
Church Family Involvement
As a youth ministry, we are committed to encouraging students to be involved in the life of the church through using their gifts to serve in various capacities. Opportunities for service include the nursery, children's ministry, music ministry, and ushering. We also come together with the church body for events such as the mid-week meal, Fall Family Day, and all worship services.
